Here is a solution many people are desperately in need of for the Kindle Fire. This is a side loaded .APK that DOES NOT require Rooting! The ever changing lock screen/wallpaper is obviously annoying to the vest majority of us. I have found two apps that can take care of this

Wall Changer kindle fire v1.5
The image appears very small at the middle of the screen when I do not crop it
